I recently added a link to our new Zotero Group library for graduate student reviews. It is not meant to be exhaustive, but there is quite a lot out there too choose from. Feel free to add new books if they are relevant to the themes of the course.
Great news! Abbie Grotke, the lead web archivist for the Library of Congress will visit our class on February 6th and provide an overview of the state of internet archiving.
This course site will fuction as the course syllabus and will include the readings, schedule, and assignments for the History and New Media course during the Spring of 2014. It will also host the discussions in the comments sections of the weekly pages. The syllabus will be frequently updated throughout the semester. Assignments, readings, and guest speakers will be added and also changed. These changes will be announced via the course twitter account, and they can also be monitored via an RSS feed. Generally all readings will be finalized a week before the respective class. Assignments will be defined so that you will be able to begin them at the appropriate time.
